Myself and my partner Edward are sheep farmers located in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Fan Hill is our home, and Herdwicks have been my love since I got involved with sheep farming in 2012. I got my first four ewes in 2016 and have been growing my flock ever since.
Please feel free to check out my blog, and see a year in the life of me and my Herdwicks.
Currently we sell our wethers for meat locally but hope to extend this to throughout the UK. Herdwick meat is completely different from the lamb you get in the supermarket. It is matured, and grown slowly. The meat gains a distinct flavour from the different vegetation found on the Fan Hill.
Nestled in the scenic countryside of Mid Wales, Y Fan is a small hamlet 2.5 miles from the historic market town of Llanidloes. With good road links we are within easy driving distance of Cardiff, Birmingham, and beyond.
For our meat, the abattoir is less than 5 miles away, and our butcher is also based in Llanidloes, helping us reduce our carbon footprint.
If you have any queries, or just want to know a bit more about my Herdys please feel free to contact me on the form above. Many Thanks, Fi!
